Moving Tenant

When a Landlord Requests Possession of a Property

Moving at the end of a lease

If a tenant wishes to leave at the end of their lease, they will submit a Notice to Vacate Form for the landlord to sign. The notice to vacate must be received at least 60 days before requested move out.

PLEASE NOTE: The form has conditions for you to sign under. If the tenant has not met those conditions, or is in violation of your lease, do not sign the Notice to Vacate form, but instead provide the housing authority with evidence the tenant has not abided by your lease.

Moving during a lease

The tenant may request to move in the middle of their lease. They will provide you with a Mutual Rescission Form. The mutual rescission must be received at least 90 days before requested move out. If you agree to let your tenant out of their lease early, please ensure all conditions have been met before signing the form. You are responsible for collecting any reletting fees before allowing the move out. Return the form once all conditions have been met.

PLEASE NOTE: PLEASE NOTE: The form has conditions for you to sign under. If the tenant has not met those conditions, or is in violation of your lease, do not sign the Mutual Rescission form, but instead provide the housing authority with evidence the tenant has not abided by your lease.
