INTERIM POLICY
To submit a VALID Interim Request, you must provide:
1) An Interim Request Form
– AND –
2) Proper verification for the change
These things must be provided to our office at the same time and within 60 days of the change.
Anything short of this will not be accepted and will be denied.
Interim Requests submitted after the 20th of the month WILL NOT be effective for the following month!

INTERIM REQUEST FORMS

Beginning January 2022:

1.  Only 1 interim decrease greater than 10% of total income will be processed each year.
2.  No interim decrease will be processed the first 6 months with the Rosenberg Housing Authority.

DECREASE IN JOB INCOME/LOSS OF JOB
INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Fill out Request for Interim Adjustment Form
2) If reporting a loss of income, provide original employer verification of end date of employment:
– OR –
3) Fill out the top portion of the Employment Verification Form and the RHA will submit to your employer.
4) For Reduced Hours, 3 most recent paystubs
5) Return the completed packet, forms and any additional information in person on Interim Day to the RHA or through AssistanceCheck.  PLEASE

NOTE: An interim request consists of two parts: a request for a change and required verification documents supporting the requested change.
If either part is missing, an interim request has not been made and does not constitute as notifying the RHA of the change. If requested through AssistanceCheck without both parts, the request will be Denied/Closed. If submitted to the office, it will not be received by the housing authority. Permission to make as many copies of the Employment Verification Form as needed.

PLEASE NOTE:  All Interim Decreases will be held for 30 days to allow families to replace the loss income.  If income is not replaced after 30 days, the Interim will be processed 60 days after the request retroactively.

If you would like to request a 2nd Interim Decrease in a year, please click the Interim Hardship Form. Fill it out and return to the RHA office, or on Assistance Check with the requested Interim.

Interim Request Change in Family
INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Fill out this Interim Change Request Form
2) If reporting a removal of a family member, indicate the family member you wish to remove and provide an updated lease with that member removed.
3) If reporting an addition of a family member under 18, provide birth certificate and social security card, court ordered custody, adoption papers, or Food Stamps receiving Medicaid for minor.
4) If reporting an addition of a family member over 18, NO ADULT MAY RESIDE IN THE UNIT WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM THE RHA. Provide birth certificate, social security card and valid Texas Identification. Fill out 18 year old packet. RHA will make an appointment with you.
5) Return the completed packet, form and any additional information in person to the RHA, and you will be notified by mail(or email if you’d prefer) of the outcome.

CHANGE OF OTHER INCOME
INSTRUCTIONS: 
1. Fill out this Request for Interim Adjustment Form.

2.  Provide verification of the change:

-Child Support:  Provide recent payment printout from Texas Attorney General’s Office; OR fill out attached “Verification of Child Support Income” form

Social Security: Provide most recent award letter

Contributions:  Complete attached “Verification of Contributions” form by both voucher holder and person contributing to household.

3.  Return the completed packet, verifications/forms and any additional information in person to the RHA or through your AssistanceCheck portal.

Increase of Job Income/New Job

2) If reporting new income, 3 recent, consecutive paystubs;

3) Fill out the top portion of the Employment Verification Form and the RHA will submit to your employer;
– OR –
4) Official hiring statement including start date, wage & hour information on company letterhead, signed by employer
5) Return the completed packet, forms and any additional information in person to the RHA or through AssistanceCheck.
