Moving to Work (MTW) is a demonstration program for PHAs that provides us the opportunity to design and test innovative, locally designed strategies that has 3 goals:
Use Federal dollars more efficiently,
Help residents become self-sufficient,
Increase housing choices for low-income families.
RHA applied to be considered for MTW in December 2018 and has now been invited to submit a full application. This application is due December 4, 2020. If accepted, RHA would be an MTW agency.
RHA has not developed detailed plans yet but does have a vision for MTW at RHA.
OUR VISION
To change current program rules to make our programs easier to understand and follow.
Reduce the costs of administering the program.
Make the voucher program easier for landlords, increasing the number of options for you.
