Background
In August and September, 2008, Hurricanes Ike and Gustav
struck the United States, causing catastrophic damages
to property, loss of live and the displacement of tens of
thousands of individuals from their homes and communities.
DHAP-Ike provides monthly rent subsidies, security deposit
assistance, and utility deposit assistance to assist
eligible families displaced by Hurricane's Ike or Gustav.
To be eligible for DHAP-Ike, the family must have been
displaced by Hurricanes Ike or Gustav and referred to HUD by
FEMA. FEMA is solely responsible for determining if
the family is initially eligible to receive assistance under
DHAP-Ike.
The Rosenberg Housing Authority administers DHAP-Ike
assistance in the Fort Bend County area. If you are
eligible for the program and would like further assistance
please contact (713)981-3882.
